             Prof. Obulreddy Ramanjula Reddy, popularly known as Prof.O.R.Reddy, presently Principal, Institute of Advanced Studies in Education, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam has been appointed as the New Full term Vice-Chancellor of Dr.B.R.Ambedkar Open University. 

             A Ph.D. holder in Education from Andhra University (1984), Prof.O.R.Reddy who hails from Anantapur district completed his M.A. Telugu (1973) and M.A. Education (1975) from Andhra University and has 27 years of teaching experience.  His area of specialization is Special Education and held academic positions such as Chairman, Board of Studies (P.G) and Dean, Faculty of Education at Andhra University.

             Widely travelled Prof.O.R.Reddy organized and attended many national and international Seminars, Conferences and Extension Programmes.  He has to his credit several research articles published in journals.

             Prof. O.R.Reddy was on several Expert Committees as Member for Recurring-Organization of B.Ed curriculum in the State of Andhra Pradesh under the aegis of APSCHE, for finalization for B.Ed and M.Ed curriculum in the area of Special Education, External Evaluation Committee Member of the Janasala Programmes of H.R.D, Govt. of India.

            Prof. Reddy was instrumental in establishing tie-up with Tennessee State University, U.S.A. and held several professional positions like Chairman, Education Research Committee, Indian Academy of Social Science; Governing Body Member, State Resource Center for Adult and Continuing Education (SRC) Hyderabad.
